1. Prescriptions

Lipkin Chemist dispenses both NHS and Private Prescriptions. We keep a comprehensive stock of medicines which enables us to dispense your prescription straightaway. However, if we do have to order any of your items we can usually get it within 24 hours.

We provide a free Repeat Prescription Service where we can reorder your regular prescription from the local surgery and collect it when its ready, therefore saving you time and effort. We will keep your medication ready for you to collect at your own convenience.

2. Fragrances

We stock a variety of well known fragrances for both ladies and gents all at discounted prices.

3. Smoking Cessation

4. Minor Ailments Scheme

This is a new service for patients to obtain free treatment (if eligible) for certain conditions direct from your pharmacy. The Minor Ailment Scheme allows you easier access to the same advise, treatment and medicines from your pharmacist as you would get from your GP, without having to wait for a GP appointment.

The minor ailment that can be treated under this scheme are:

• athletes foot
• constipation
• cough
• cystitis
• diarrhoea
• earache
• fever
• hayfever / allergies
• headlice
• indigestion
• insect bites/ Stings
• mouth ulcers
• sore throat
• sprains / strains
• teething
• threadworms
• vaginal thrush

This Minor ailments scheme is for people who are registered with a GP practice in Barnet that is taking part in the scheme.

5. Mobility Aids

We Stock a wide range of mobility and home care aids including wheelchairs, walkers, home and toilet aids as well as commodes all at affordable prices. We also supply unique and specialized products, such as insulin travel wallets, waterproof limb protectors, medical sheepskin fleeces and water-pillows. All your mobility needs are available within 24 hours.

6. Confidential Help & Advice

For friendly customer service and confidential advice, you can always ask one of our pharmacists for help. We have a Private Consultation Area where you can discuss your medication or general healthcare.

7. Dispensing

At lipkin Chemist, we also offer a free Repeat Prescription Service. We offer our services to collect repeat prescriptions from the doctor’s surgery (GP) on your behalf so the medication is ready for you to collect at your own convenience.

With the arrival of EPS (Electronic Prescription Service) we will also be able to offer this service. Prescription will arrive via email to the pharmacy directly from GP surgery.

10. Delivery Service

We provide a free Prescription Delivery Service within the local area to the housebound and elderly who have no carer.

11. Patients Medication Record

We have a complete record of all your prescriptions dispensed by us. This helps us check for possible problems, such as reactions between medicines and will help us deal with any queries you may have.

We comply with the Data Protection Act and the NHS code of practice on confidentiality.

12. Health Advice

For friendly customer service and confidential advice, you can always ask our pharmacists or trained staff for help. We also have a Consultation Room, giving advice in private on medication or general healthcare.

13. Unwanted Medicines

Please return all unwanted and out of date medicines to the pharmacy where we will dispose of them safely.
